5.00pm Wildfire Folk
The Lichfield Youth Folk Ensemble
If your view of Folk Music is one of old, bearded men (and sometimes women!) wearing Aran sweaters, sitting in a beery haze, fingers in their ears and droning on about the days of 'yore' be ready to be shaken out of your complacency.
Lichfield Arts have created this young, vibrant, group of very talented musicians with the help of the secondary schools of the Friary and King Edward VI, Lichfield and John Taylor School, Barton-under-Needwood. They have been rehearsing under the considerable talent of Joe Broughton (Albion Band), Paloma Trigas and a team from the Birmingham Conservatoire. Like the famous Birmingham Conservatoire Folk Ensemble, they have created a band of incredible energy and vitality, playing their interpretations of Folk Music with consummate skill from musicians who are so young.
6.00pm Fuse Mega-Ceilidh
with The Fuse All-Stars Ceilidh Big Band
Come and cut a rug (or should that be 'cut the grass'?) at the FUSE Mega-Ceilidh. Don't know your 'Do-si-do' from your 'Strip the Willow'? Fear not. Our callers and expert dancers will show you what to do in no time! Experienced barn-dancers are very welcome too, and are invited to join in with helping any dancing newcomers.

Three Spires Morris are a women's morris side who have been dancing in Lichfield for 28 years. They dance traditional North West Clog Morris which has its origins in street dancing from Lancashire and Cheshire. They also do dances that have been written for them in the same style which incorporate figures from the local area such as Lichfield Hey and Staffordshire knot.
